The festival of Slavonic writing and culture. Annually

Paying attention to the meaning of cultural and historical rebirth of Russian people and taking into consideration the international experience of celebration organisation of the Day of Slavonic scholars Thiril and Methodius the festival of Slavonic writing and culture is taking place in Novgorod every year.

It opens on the 24th of May with the Divine liturgy and public prayer devoted to the saints Thiril and Methodius in St. Sofia Cathedral.

There are concerts of masters of art, artists and leading art groups from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novgorod and from the other countries in the festival programme.
